Common use
Conjubrook (Conjugated Estrogen) is a female sex hormone (estrogen). Conjugated Estrogen is primarily used to manage symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness, and it is part of the group of estrogen hormone replacement therapies. This medicine is also used to prevent osteoporosis after menopause, treat certain types of prostate and breast cancer, and manage conditions like hypogonadism and certain cases of primary ovarian failure where there is a deficiency of estrogen.
Dosage and direction
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Conjubrook tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Precautions
Before taking Conjubrook, it is important to tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines for the same disease or other diseases. Before taking Conjubrook (Conjugated Estrogen), you must consult the doctor if you have a history of unexplained vaginal bleeding or if you have ever had a blood clot in your legs or your lungs. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should tell your doctor before taking this medicine.
Contraindications
Conjubrook (Conjugated Estrogen) should not be used if patients with known allergies for any of it's components.
It is also contraindicated in individuals with active or recent thromboembolic disease and those with active or chronic liver dysfunction or disease.
Possible side effect
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them. Common side effects of Conjubrook: Nausea; Breast pain; Hair loss; Irregular vaginal bleeding; Edema (swelling); Vaginal spotting; Vaginal itching; Depression; Leg cramps; Abdominal cramp; Vaginal burning sensation.
Drug interaction
Conjubrook may interact with CYP3A4 inhibitors (such as clarithromycin), CYP3A4 inducers (such as carbamazepine), thyroid hormone replacement therapy, and corticosteroids (like prednisone and dexamethasone). Always consult your doctor before starting any new medication while on Conjugated Estrogen treatment.
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
Overdose
Overdose of Conjubrook can lead to severe nausea, vomiting, or tenderness in the abdominal region. If you suspect an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.
Storage
Store Conjubrook in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the medicine out of reach and sight of children. Make sure to use the product before the expiration date mentioned on the packaging.
