Common use
Mintop Solution is primarily used to manage common hereditary hair loss in men, commonly known as androgenetic alopecia. It belongs to the group of vasodilator medications. The medication helps prevent further hair loss and promotes hair regrowth in men experiencing male pattern baldness. However, it is not effective for sudden, patchy or unexplained hair loss.
Dosage and direction
Open the cap of the bottle. Insert the spray and screw the cap firmly to the bottle. Make sure your scalp is clean and dry before applying the serum. Part your hair into small sections to expose the scalp. Spray it 5-6 times over the entire scalp so that the product evenly spreads. Alternatively, insert the dropper and squeeze the rubber bulb. Release the bulb till the solution fills up to 1ml mark and apply over the affected area. Massage gently with the fingers. Keep it out of eyes, ears, and mouth. If contact occurs, rinse away with plenty of cold water. Wash your hands before and after use.
Precautions
Individuals with heart conditions should exercise caution as Mintop Solution may cause rapid heartbeat or chest pain.
Those with scalp conditions or irritations should also be cautious as this medication is applied topically to the scalp.
Contraindications
Mintop Solution is contraindicated in individuals who have a known hypersensitivity to either of its two components: minoxidil or ethanol.
Mintop Solution is not recommended for use during pregnancy. It may be harmful during pregnancy. Breastfeeding women are not recommended to use Mintop Solution. Consult your doctor for an alternate treatment for hair regrowth while breastfeeding.
The use of this solution can cause chest pain, rapid heart beat, faintness or dizziness, sudden unexplained weight gain, swollen hands or feet, or persistent redness in patients with hypotension which can further intensify this condition.
Possible side effect
Side effects of Mintop Solution: Irritation of the scalp; Dryness of the scalp; Scaling or flaking of the scalp; Itching of the scalp; Burning sensation on the scalp.
Drug interaction
Mintop Solution may interact unfavourably when combined with other topical treatments for the scalp like antifungal creams (like ketoconazole), topical corticosteroids (e.g., betamethasone) may lead to skin irritation or altered effectiveness of both products.
Missed dose
In case of a missed dose, continue with the next scheduled dose. Do not attempt to make up for the missed dose by applying the extra solution.
Overdose
An overdose of Mintop Solution may result in severe side effects such as dizziness or rapid heartbeat. If you suspect an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.
Storage
Store Mintop Solution in a cool and dry place. Protect it from light and moisture. Keep this solution away from children.
