Fiprofort Plus Spot-On is a veterinary treatment for dogs (and sometimes cats, depending on the specific product) used to kill and prevent infestations of fleas, ticks, and lice, breaking their life cycle to stop re-infestation and control flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). It contains Fipronil to eliminate adult parasites and S-Methoprene (an insect growth regulator) to stop eggs and larvae from developing, offering protection for about a month.

Common use
Fiprofort Plus Spot-On is a medicine used to treat and prevent parasitic infestations in dogs and cats. It effectively kills fleas, ticks, and lice, and also stops the growth of flea eggs, larvae, and pupae. It targets both adult and immature parasite stages and provides complete and long-lasting protection.
Dosage and direction
Fiprofort Plus Spot-On should be used as per your veterinarian’s advice. Part the fur at the base until the skin is visible and apply the contents directly onto the skin. Ensure the application site is dry before allowing your pet to mix with others or be handled. To get the most benefit, apply as often as the veterinarian has instructed. Clean the vacuum, the beddings, carpets, and resting areas to help eliminate fleas from the environment and improve the treatment’s effectiveness.
Precautions
Fiprofort Plus Spot-On is for external use only and should not be used on puppies or kittens younger than 8 weeks or on sick or recovering animals. Avoid contact with your pet’s eyes, mouth, and skin during application, and wash your hands thoroughly afterward. Prevent the treated animals from licking each other until the site is completely dry.
Contraindications
Fiprofort Plus Spot-On should not be used in the following cases: The product is toxic to rabbits and can cause adverse reactions, including death; Do not use on animals suffering from systemic diseases, fever, or those recovering from illness; Avoid use if the pet has a known allergy (hypersensitivity) to Fipronil, S-Methoprene, or any of the other ingredients/excipients; Do not use on kittens less than 8 weeks old and/or weighing less than 1 kg; Do not use on puppies less than 8 weeks old and/or weighing less than 2 kg.
Fiprofort Plus Spot-On for dogs should not be used on cats, as this could lead to overdosing and serious reactions. The cat-specific formulation should be used for cats.
Possible side effect
Fiprofort Plus Spot-On is generally well-tolerated when used in the prescribed dose. However, some pets may experience mild skin reactions at the application site, such as redness, itching, hair loss, or scaling. Excessive salivation, temporary restlessness, or mild vomiting can also occur, usually if the animal licks the treated area. These symptoms are generally short-lived and resolve on their own.
Drug interaction
Do not use more than one flea control product on your pet at a time unless directed by a veterinarian, as combining products can lead to an overdose.
Missed dose
Give the medicine as soon as you can, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not give two doses at one time.
Overdose
Seek your veterinarian for emergency medical attention.
Storage
Store at room temperature below 30 C, away from moisture and heat. Keep out of reach of the children and pets.
