Benzac AC Gel - the primary use is in managing mild to moderate acne vulgaris (chronic skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells). It belongs to the group of topical acne medications. Besides treating acne, Benzac AC Gel is also used off-label for managing other skin conditions like rosacea (long-term, non-contagious skin condition that causes redness), folliculitis (skin condition that causes inflammation and infection of one or more hair follicles), and seborrheic dermatitis (chronic skin condition that causes flaky, oily, and itchy or inflamed patches of skin).
Dosage and direction
Benzac AC Gel can be applied daily if prescribed by a doctor, but it is prudent to start with a lower strength and gradually increase if needed, particularly if skin irritation occurs.

Pregnant or nursing women should see their healthcare professional before taking this supplement to guarantee their safety.
Benzac AC Gel should be used with caution on sensitive areas such as the neck, underarms etc., to avoid skin irritation. Patients with sunburn should avoid applying this medicine as it may exacerbate the irritation. It should not be used alongside products containing sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid due to the risk of temporary dark spots.
Contraindications
This medicine is contraindicated in individuals who have a known hypersensitivity to Benzoyl Peroxide or any other ingredients in its formulation. It should not be used on broken skin or open wounds, or if you have lung or breathing disease (asthma).
Possible side effect
Side effects of Benzac AC Gel: Local skin reactions like erythema (abnormal redness of the skin), dryness, peeling; Burning or stinging sensation; Allergic contact dermatitis in rare cases; Temporary skin bleaching or discoloration of hair/fabrics.
Drug interaction

Missed dose

Overdose
