Common use

Metaflam Easy Chews tablet is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain and inflammation in dogs. It helps manage pain associated with osteoarthritis, musculoskeletal injuries, and post-surgical recovery. It works by blocking the production of substances that trigger pain, swelling, and fever.

Dosage and direction

Give Metaflam Easy Chews exactly as directed by your veterinarian. It is best given with or after food to reduce stomach upset and improve absorption. Do not give more than the prescribed dose. To get the most benefit, make sure your pet stays well hydrated, follows any advised rest or activity restrictions, and attends all scheduled veterinary check-ups.

Precautions

The safety of this medicine in pregnant, breeding, or lactating animals has not been established; consult your veterinarian. Always inform your veterinarian about all medicines or supplements your pet is taking before starting treatment.

Contraindications

Do not give Metaflam Easy Chews to pets that are allergic to NSAIDs (such as buprofen, naproxen, and aspirin) or have stomach ulcers, bleeding disorders, severe kidney or liver disease, or dehydration.

Possible side effect

Metaflam Easy Chews tablet is generally well-tolerated, but some pets may experience vomiting or diarrhea. These are usually mild and temporary. Stop the medicine and contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any side effects that persist or worsen. Giving the medicine with food and keeping your pet hydrated can help reduce stomach upset.

Drug interaction

Do not give other painkillers or anti-inflammatory medicines (such as ibuprofen, naproxen, or steroids) together with Metaflam Easy Chews tablet unless your veterinarian tells you to. Using them together can cause serious stomach or kidney problems. Tell your veterinarian about all the medicines or supplements your pet is taking, as some may interact with this medicine.

Missed dose

Give the medicine as soon as you can, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not give two doses at one time.

Overdose

Seek your veterinarian for emergency medical attention.

Storage

Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep out of reach of the children and pets.
