Micardis Plus is used to manage high blood pressure, a condition also known as hypertension. This medicine is a combination product, and it falls under the category of antihypertensives. Dosage and direction
Swallow each tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid crushing, chewing or dividing the tablet. The medicine can be taken with or without food. Micardis Plus is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergy to either ingredient (Hydrochlorothiazide or Telmisartan), anuria (inability to produce urine), severe liver impairment, or in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Side effects of Micardis Plus: Dizziness; Fatigue; Hypotension (low blood pressure); Increased urination; Electrolyte imbalance (low potassium or sodium levels).
Drug interaction
Avoid using potassium supplements, potassium-sparing diuretics (spironolactone), lithium, NSAIDs (ibuprofen, diclofenac), other antihypertensives (enalapril, lisinopril), and certain antidiabetics (insulin, glipizide). These can interact with Micardis Plus, potentially affecting its safety and efficacy.
Missed dose
If you forget to take a dose of Micardis Plus tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's close to your next dose, simply skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Please refrain from increasing your dosage without first consulting your doctor.
Overdose
Overdosing on Micardis Plus could result in common side effects becoming more pronounced, such as dizziness or diarrhea. If you suspect an overdose, it is crucial to inform your doctor to discuss the next steps.
