In addition to addressing vitamin B deficiencies, this medicine is used to manage several health conditions like pernicious anaemia, peripheral neuropathy related to vitamin B12 deficiency, alcoholism or malnutrition, and metabolic disorders like homocystinuria.
Dosage and direction
Administer Neurobion Forte Injection as follows: The medicine is administered through deep intramuscular injection, usually in the gluteal region. Ensure the injection is only administered by a qualified professional. Intravenous administration is not advised due to potential adverse effects.
Precautions
Due to its role in fetal neural development, Neurobion Forte Injection is often used as an adjunct supplement in pregnancy. However, it's best to consult your doctor before using this medicine during pregnancy.
While B vitamins are generally considered safe during breastfeeding, you should still discuss with your doctor before using Neurobion Forte Injection if you are lactating.

Contraindications
If you know that you are allergic to any components of Neurobion Forte Injection, do not use this product.
Parkinson’s (Levodopa): Pyridoxine may reduce levodopa effect. Polycythemia Vera: May trigger symptoms early after B12 injection.
Possible side effect
Neurobion Forte Injection can cause the following side effects: Pain and redness at the injection site; Itching; Headache; Flushing.
Drug interaction
Anticoagulants or antiplatelet medications: Neurobion Forte Injection can increase the risk of bleeding when used with anticoagulants like warfarin or antiplatelet medications such as clopidogrel.
Anti-Parkinsonism medications: Neurobion Forte Injection may reduce the effectiveness of levodopa, a medication for Parkinson's disease.
Missed dose
If you've missed a dose of Neurobion Forte Injection, administer it as soon as you remember. If it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Don't administer extra doses to make up for a missed one.
Overdose
An overdose of Neurobion Forte Injection might cause symptoms such as itching, headache, or flushing. If you've administered more than the prescribed dose, inform your doctor promptly.
Storage
