Tugain Gel 5% belongs to the vasodilator class of medicines. It is used to help men with male pattern baldness grow more hair. Tugain Gel 5% should only be applied to the scalp in the dosage and manner recommended on the package or by your doctor.
Dosage and direction
Tugain 5% Gel should only be used externally. Use it according to your doctor's instructions for dosage and duration. Before using, read the directions on the label. Before you use it, make sure your scalp is clean and dry. Hair growth can take anywhere from two to four months to notice. It is possible that the first growth will be soft, colorless, and scarcely noticeable. Using more than the suggested amount will not enhance hair growth and may raise the risk of negative effects. To maintain hair growth, this medicine must be used on a regular basis. Tell your doctor if your condition does not improve or worsens after 4 to 6 months of use.
Precautions
Individuals with heart conditions should exercise caution as Tugain Gel 5% may cause rapid heartbeat or chest pain.

Contraindications

Missed dose
In case of a missed dose, continue with the next scheduled dose. Do not attempt to make up for the missed dose by applying the extra solution.
Overdose
An overdose of Tugain Gel 5% may result in severe side effects such as dizziness or rapid heartbeat. If you suspect an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.
