Common use
Frumil tablet is a mixture of two medicines that is used to lower the body's excess fluid levels. It is used to treat edoema (fluid overflow) and hypertension in some circumstances (high blood pressure).
Dosage and direction
Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and duration of Frumil tablet. It should not be chewed, crushed, or broken. Frumil tablet should be consumed with food. It is recommended that you take it at the same time every day for best results.
Precautions
Frumil may cause dizziness or lightheadedness. Therefore, it is advised to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.
Always consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Patients with kidney disease or liver disease should exercise caution when taking Frumil.
The combination should also be used with caution in patients with diabetes as it may affect blood glucose levels.
Contraindications
This combination is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to either medicine or any of the ingredients.
It is also contraindicated in patients with anuria (inability to produce urine), severe kidney disease or renal failure, severe liver disease or hepatic coma, Addison's disease (adrenal insufficiency) and hyperkalemia (high blood potassium levels).
The use of this combination during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not generally recommended unless deemed necessary by your doctor.
Possible side effect
The majority of side effects are minor and will go away as your body adjusts to Frumil tablet. If they don't go away or you're concerned about them, see your doctor.
Side effects of Frumil tablet: Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Weakness, Headache, Dehydration, Muscle cramp, Decreased sodium level in blood, Decreased magnesium level in blood.
Drug interaction
This combination may interact with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors (such as lisinopril and enalapril), angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) (such as losartan and valsartan) and corticosteroids (like prednisone).
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
Overdose
Overdosing can cause symptoms such as severe dehydration, low blood pressure, and electrolyte imbalances. If you suspect you've taken too much of this medicine, seek immediate medical attention.
Storage
Store your medicines at room temperature between 68-77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C), away from light and moisture. Do not store your drugs in the bathroom. Keep all drugs away from reach of children and pets.
