Common use
OtikOO Ear Drops is a combination of antimicrobials and anti-inflammatory agents. It is helpful in the management of otitis externa complicated by bacterial and fungal infections. Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone with a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity. Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug with fungicidal activity against Candida, Microsporum, Trichophyton, and other fungi that cause superficial mycotic infections of the outer or middle ear. Betamethasone is an anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive glucocorticoid steroid. Lignocaine is a topical anaesthetic that helps to relieve ear-ache.
Dosage and direction
Instill 5-10 drops into each ear after cleaning the ear with an ear cleanser. Gently massage the base of the ear. Follow this twice a day for a week or as recommended by the veterinarian.
Precautions
OtikOO Ear Drops (containing Ofloxacin, Clotrimazole, Beclomethasone) require veterinary supervision and are for external use only, with major precautions including never using with a perforated eardrum (risk of deafness/ototoxicity), avoiding skin/eye contact (rinse if exposed), washing hands after use, and watching for side effects like itching or hearing loss, especially in older pets. Always follow your vet's specific instructions and don't use other human ear drops.
Contraindications
OtikOO Ear Drops are contraindicated primarily in animals with a perforated eardrum and in those with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of its active ingredients (Ofloxacin, Clotrimazole, Betamethasone, Dipropionate Lignocaine Hydrochloride).
Possible side effect
OtikOO Ear Drops are generally safe but can cause redness, itching, or irritation at the application site, temporary hearing loss (especially if eardrum is ruptured), and rarely, systemic issues like vomiting or lethargy if ingested, requiring immediate vet contact if severe or symptoms like head tilt, balance issues, or severe pain occur.
Drug interaction
While specific systemic drug interactions for topically applied OtikOO Ear Drops are minimal, it's crucial to inform a veterinarian about all other medications, supplements, and herbal therapies your pet is taking.
Missed dose
Give the medicine as soon as you can, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not give two doses at one time.
Overdose
Seek your veterinarian for emergency medical attention.

Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep out of reach of the children and pets.
